Beeswax Candle Care

Crafted with 100% beeswax and a 100% cotton wick, our hand poured candles offer a non-toxic, naturally fragranced burning experience. Beeswax candles burn cleaner and some studies suggest beeswax candles release negative ions that may help reduce dust and allergens in the air. 

Trim wick to 1/4 inch before each burn. Allow the candle to burn 1-2 hours, or until the wax pool reaches the edges. This helps prevent tunneling and ensures an even burn. If the flame flickers, smokes, or the wick develops a “mushroom”, trim the wick slightly shorter.

Beeswax is arguably the best wax for candle making. Not only is it natural and non toxic, beeswax burns slower and hotter than other types of wax providing exceptionally long burn times. Burn candles at least 1 hour per inch of diameter to maximize life. Only burn 3-4 hours at a time.  Mold warm walls of the candle inward to optimize burn. Snuff by dripping wax onto wick to eliminate smoke.
